About
Claudia Neill
Design engineer, London
Design engineer in the final year of an MEng at Imperial College London. I take products from research and user needs through modelling, simulation and prototypes, across mechanical design, electronics, robotics and control. Five months at Airbus, and health-tech before that. Drawn to medical devices and safety-critical robotics.
Experience
Airbus Commercial AircraftMay–Sep 2026
Product Design Intern, Cabin, Hamburg- Produced and iterated Rhino 3D models for aircraft-cabin concepts: form, layout, surface quality, assembly constraints and integration.
- Developed SysML v2 models with systems engineers, capturing requirements, functions and dependencies across future cabin concepts.
- Investigated materials and emerging technologies for future cabins, weighing feasibility against passenger experience.
- Communicated design rationale through research synthesis and presentations to design and engineering stakeholders.
Imperial College LondonOct 2024–Jun 2026
Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, Electronics and General, London- Supported students building and debugging electronic prototypes: circuits, microcontrollers and sensors.
- Taught CAD, rapid prototyping, model-making and workshop fabrication.
AlvieApr 2022–Sep 2023
Design Assistant, health-tech startup, London- Analysed 100+ support tickets to find onboarding friction in a cancer-rehabilitation service.
- Rewrote flows, diagrams, FAQs and UI content for a better first week.
